SEA CAPTAIN'S DEATH MYSTERY
When the Goole steamer Broomfleet arrived at Hull yesterday the death at sea under mysterious circumstances of the master, Captain James Greenwood, was reported. It was stated that after leaving the Scandinavian port of Stavanger Captain Greenwood and the steward of the ship were seized with illness, following a meal of fish. The steward recovered, but the captain's condition became worse, and before the ship could put into the nearest port he died. The vessel proceeded to Hull, and the body was landed there yesterday. A post-mortem examination will be made. Captain Greenwood, who was 52 years of age, was well known in Humber shipping circles.
